Technical expertise opens the door to cybersecurity, but reaching executive leadership requires lessons rarely taught in school or certifications. For many women, that journey means navigating hidden barriers, overcoming self-doubt, building influence, and leading authentically.
In this WiCyS webinar, Microsoft leads a panel of accomplished security leaders for a candid conversation about the unwritten lessons of their leadership journeys.
Through personal stories and practical advice, they will explore the transition from individual contributor to executive leader, the hard truths women encounter, and the strategies that helped them move forward, including mentorship, sponsorship, and paying it forward for the next generation.
Key discussion themes: - Unwritten leadership lessons on the path to CISO - Hidden barriers and hard truths of executive leadership - Mentorship versus sponsorship and career acceleration - Paying it forward and developing future cybersecurity leaders
Attendees will leave with actionable insights to advance their own careers and help others rise alongside them.
